K2 Solutions, Inc. offers physical security screening through the use of explosives or narcotics detection canines, which can be deployed worldwide to a variety of locations, venues, terrain, and environments.
Primarily, we offer services of Person-Borne™ Explosives Detection Dog (PB-EDD) Teams. These canines are trained to detect explosive odors emitting from a moving person and to follow that scent trail to the source. Our teams are trained through a proprietary course and retain the traditional Explosives Detection Canine (EDC) capability of detecting odors on static items in stationary locations such as trashcans, cargo, storage areas, backpacks, etc. Our PB-EDD teams are Department of Homeland Security (DHS) SAFETY Act Developmental Testing & Evaluation Designated and we are the only company in the United States with any DHS SAFETY Act Award (whether Designation or Certification) for this capability – detecting explosives on a moving person. Our DT&E Designation has no limitation on deployments and you can read about it here.
These services are ideal for:
- Outdoor Events
- Large Crowds
- Entry Control Points
- Employee Screening
- Parking Lot Screening
- Cargo and Storage Areas
- Existing Security Augmentation
Our expanding security services include partnerships with professional sports leagues, such as Major League Baseball (MLB), National Hockey League (NHL), the Professional Golfers Association (PGA), professional football and the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). We have provided screening services for major airports, cargo facilities, concert venues, and the Church of Latter Day Saints.
