Why We Give
At K2, honesty, loyalty, integrity, and fairness are not just our core values. They are key principles that guide and define everything we do. As a company, we confirm our commitment to these values by taking an active role in support and service to our country, state, military, and the communities in which we live and work.
How We Give
K2 contributes time and corporate resources to a variety of non-profit organizations. First and foremost, we are dedicated to supporting Veterans Associations and charitable organizations within the Sandhills region of North Carolina. We encourage our employees to volunteer their time and talent in support of community service events, activities, and civic projects.
Over the years, K2’s contributions have benefited many non-profit organizations. From supporting organizations that assist America’s military veterans and their families to running local food and coat drives- K2 is committed to making a positive impact.
What We Support
K2 hosts an annual golf tournament in support of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) and has contributed over $200,000 to the foundation to date. The SOWF provides full scholarship grants and educational and family counseling to the surviving children of special operations personnel who die in operational or training missions and immediate financial assistance to severely wounded special operations personnel and their families.
The Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP) is the official United States military blood program. Donations serve as a vital link to military service members and their families worldwide. K2 humbly serves this effort by collaborating with the ASBP to conduct quarterly, on-site blood drives.
The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund provides immediate financial support for injured and critically ill members of the US Armed Forces and their families.
The Marine Corps Association Foundation (MCAF) is the charitable foundation supporting the work of the Marine Corps Association (MCA). It raises funds from tax-deductible donations and grants to assist the MCA in providing professional growth opportunities to Commanders and their Marines.
MIRA is dedicated to helping disabled individuals by teaming them with dogs bred and fully trained to respond to their adaptation and rehabilitation needs.
MANNA! is an ecumenical and community effort to feed the hungry of Moore County, North Carolina.
Providing a safe place where young people can grow socially, scholastically, and athletically, the Boys and Girls Clubs provide the positive influence needed by so many young people. K2 holds an annual Cans, Coats and Cash drive in partnership with the Reindeer Fun Run in support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sandhills.
K2 Solutions, like North Carolina Senator Charlie Albertson of Duplin County, is “Mean About Clean.” K2 became a member of the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway program in May 2012 and adopted a 2-mile stretch of highway near the K2 Canine Training Center in Derby, North Carolina, committing to a litter pick-up at least four times a year.
The Moore Alive marketing campaign is an outgrowth of the Moore Opportunity initiative, which is both an economic development and a talent recruitment effort to enhance Moore County’s overall competitiveness by attracting new, skilled and innovative people to the County.
